ABOUT DANIEL

Hi, I'm Daniel.

I'm a qualified psychotherapist and coach. I work in the depths: with the feelings, patterns and questions that live beneath the surface of a life.

I offer a grounded, unhurried space where you can turn toward what's difficult without being alone in it. My starting point is that we are always in a state of becoming, the psyche is never static. There is always a movement between the old ways of being and what's trying to emerge, and to engage that movement purposefully is to reconnect with the heartbeat of your own life. That's the work I'm here to support.

QUALIFICATIONS

My Training

I hold a Master's degree in Psychosynthesis Psychology and a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, and I'm a qualified counsellor. I've since trained across several complementary approaches:

MA, Psychosynthesis Psychology

Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling (BACP-accredited)

Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching (EMCC-accredited Training)

Realisation Process Meditation Teacher Training — Judith Blackstone

Internal Family Systems (IFS), Online Circle

MY PATH

The Path that Brought me here

I've long been drawn to the existential questions of life, and that questioning has carried me across many traditions. My studies and experience include Holotropic Breathwork, psychosynthesis, non-dual practice and Buddhism and some of my most formative memories come from a three-week retreat in Peru, working with traditional Shipibo shamans.

I draw on these not as a fixed method to apply to you, but as a wide well to draw from so I can meet you wherever your own journey needs to go.

THE APPROACH

What is Psychosynthesis?

Psychosynthesis is an integrative psychology. It draws on humanistic, Jungian, psychodynamic, sub-personality and Eastern traditions, then synthesises them into a single meta-theory. Synthesis means bringing together opposites to create a more integrated whole.

What makes it distinctive is that it includes the spiritual, or transpersonal, dimension, not as an abstract concept, but as something grounded in real experience: the pull toward self-actualisation, self-realisation and our connection to purpose, meaning and values.

At its core is a simple, freeing idea: at the centre of the self is a point of consciousness and will. We have the freedom to step back from the contents of our minds and choose, with skill, how we act. We are not victims of what happens to us. We can reclaim choice, and strength.
